10/21/2006: Gomez as Guest Composer - Orchestra Canton, Plymouth, Michigan. Under the direction of Nan Washburn, the orchestra will perform Gomez's "Homanaje a Cesar Chavez." She will also work with the Youth Orchestra as they rehearse her "Festive Huapango."

11/9-11/2006: Percussive Arts Society International Convention, Austin, TX. Gomez will be explaining her innovative sight-reading techniques during in a seminar titled "Sightreading by Spatial Visualization."

Talking Taco Music released Alice Gomez's first solo CD in May of 2006.  The name of the CD is "Healer's Suite". Alice performed all of the instruments on the recording, including Native Flutes. Click here to listen to selections and order this exciting new release.
